About me
Who am I?
Hi my name’s Tony. And if you really want to know, it’s Tony Wu.
I graduated from Imperial College London in Summer 2007 with a degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering. Having a interest in design & media, I first decided to build a website of my own, then that carried me forward to becoming a freelancing web designer & developer. I was at Promise Communities as a web analyst between Spring 2008 and Summer 2009, working from anything from marketing insights, through IT support, to quantitative analysis. I am now the User Experience Architect & Designer at Weboo.
At the same time, I also dance and teach as part of the FuNkoLoGy crew and spend loads of my other free time on photography, cooking, music and movies.
What will I find here?
At the moment, it’s pretty much just a blog: life, thoughts, reviews, photos, and other news etc. For merely a small portfolio, you will also find a portfolio section.
I do try to post updates every so often. Even when I do get busy, you’ll find more regular through Twitter. You can follow me on Twitter at @tonytlwu.
Why is it called StillLive.NET
Well, it all started when I had a blog account with Xanga in 2003. It didn’t have a particular name back then (except for the tonytlwu user name). In 2006, I had my first attempt at some CSS, code-hacking the blog to suit my aesthetic likings and created StillLife. Of course, the limitations of coding with such an interface meant that I had to host my own site if I wanted to attempt any of my other ideas.
So thanks to WordPress, StillLive.NET was launched just before Christmas 2007, and has expanded from a simple blog to now my web design playground.
